Job description

North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA), the nation's largest anesthesia provider, is seeking a Per Diem Anesthesiologist to join their team at HCA Houston Pearland. This is an exciting opportunity to provide expert anesthesia care in a 49-bed acute care hospital equipped with a Level IV Trauma Center, an accredited Chest Pain Center, and a certified Primary Stroke Center. The role involves managing patients undergoing various surgical procedures, excluding pediatrics and cardiac cases.

  • HCA Houston Pearland is a 49-bed acute care hospital.

  • Certified Primary Stroke Center.

Responsibilities

  • Case assignments: General, Urology, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho. NO peds or cardiac.
  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department.
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures.
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment.
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent.
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient.
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition.
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed.

Compensation

  • Per Diem Hourly Rate.
  • Competitive salary.

Requirements

  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
  • ECFMG and FLEX.
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
  • Currently licensed as a physician.
