Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fleet Mechanic to join our luxury transportation team. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet that includes sedans, SUVs, shuttles, and charter buses. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, and presentation aligned with our premium service model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles, completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters.
  • Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing body damage.
  • Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems.
  • Comply with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
  • Maintains vehicle records electronically, recording service and repairs.
  • Performs routine inspections to satisfy regulations for DOT & OSHA, including safety latches and hatches, fire extinguishers, etc.
  • Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Repair cooling, fuel, electrical, and exhaust systems; tune engines using standard testing equipment.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems.
  • Fabricate and weld to repair equipment as necessary.
  • Perform vehicle body work and collision repair.
  • Maintain records on all maintenance and repair work performed, track recalls, smog inspection dates, and warranties for all vehicles.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Clean and maintain the garage area and equipment.
  • Perform related duties as required.
  • SELF-STARTER MENTALITTY REQUIRED

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a fleet mechanic, automotive technician, or diesel mechanic.
  • Proven experience with diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs across multiple vehicle classes
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and fleet safety standards.
  • CDL B license Preferred but not necessary
  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of hydraulics preferred
  • The ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to50 pounds
  • A clean driving record
