The Rental Service Manager works as a liaison between the Wagner Equipment Co. Heavy Rental Fleet, Wagner Equipment Service and Wagner Rents in a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.” The Service Manager is responsible for the efficient and profitable operations of the Rental Fleet Maintenance, Repair, and Equipment Management activities.

This position will be responsible for the scheduling, costs, and availability of the Wagner Rental Fleet territory wide to ensure we have products available that are rental ready, cleaned and prepped, and support our business in a manner that compliments Wagner’s Core Values, Statement of Purpose and Safety Policies. This position will work closely with branch service teams to coordinate and manage the timely completion of all service work.

Pay Rate:  $88,358.39 - $121,493.13 Annually
Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience.

• Utilizes AMT to establish baseline TM&R for the Heavy Rental Fleet
• Utilizes Click Scheduler / DSi to monitor, schedule and expedite units through various shops for service
• Develops and implements consistent policies and procedures for all Heavy Rental maintenance and repair options
• Monitors charges by the various service branches to ensure costs are appropriate
• Develops and manages annual Heavy Rental maintenance and repairs budget
• Makes recommendations on repair, replace, or sell equipment by utilizing life and cost models
• Works with branch service personnel to see that all Heavy Rental Fleet’s equipment is meeting the company’s goals for rental fleet asset management
• Works cooperatively with service departments to resolve quality and flat rate variance
• Acts as a service solution center to all branch service teams and rental customers
• Provides needed training to customer, service departments, and Wagner Rents on site or via teleconference and email as required
• Is capable of negotiating repairs on damaged rental fleet equipment caused by customers
• Provides diagnostic help to customers and WECo technicians with down machines
• Oversees special rental projects to include TM&R’s or MARC’s, and other projects as requested by the GM of Parts and Service or GM of Rental
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • College Degree Preferred
  • 5+ years’ fleet management experience with heavy equipment
  • 3+ years administrative/clerical experience
  • 5+ years customer service experience
  • 3+ years sales experience

Physical Demands & Competencies:

  • Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
  • Squatting/Kneeling
  • Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, etc.
  • Medium work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 32 pounds or more
  • Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills
  • Safety & Product Knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of CRM/Sales Link
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate knowledge of DBS and ET/SIS/SIS Web/STW
