We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Corporate Fleet Account Executive to join our team. This key business development role focuses on expanding our vehicle leasing and finance services within the Tri-State territory, including Southern Indiana, Western Kentucky, and Southeastern Illinois. PURPOSE OF JOB:

This non-supervisory, business development-focused position is primarily responsible for generating new vehicle leasing and finance business through proactive outbound prospecting, calling new business targets, and networking, in addition to growing an assigned book of existing accounts. Working closely with the company’s administrative, operations, and accounting staff, the Corporate Fleet Account Executive is responsible for building and maintaining a strong new-business pipeline and closing sales that meet company criteria and align with strategic growth initiatives within an assigned Tri-State territory (Southern Indiana, Western Kentucky, and Southeastern Illinois).


JOB DUTIES:

New Business Development & Prospecting

  • Proactively identify, prospect, and call new business targets within assigned vertical markets (e.g. construction, trucking/transportation, distribution & logistics, service trades, and other fleet-intensive industries) throughout the Tri-State territory.
  • Meet minimum weekly outbound prospecting activity standards, including outbound calling to new business targets, prospecting emails, and social outreach (e.g. LinkedIn) as defined in the Annual Business Plan.
  • Achieve a minimum of five (5) new in-person prospect or client visits per week, supplemented by outside lunches, trade shows, and industry networking events to build and maintain a qualified pipeline.
  • Build and maintain an active pipeline of qualified new-business opportunities in Salesforce, moving prospects through defined pipeline stages and reporting pipeline status weekly.
  • Represent the company at local trade associations, chambers of commerce, and industry events to build referral sources and expand market presence in the Evansville and broader Tri-State areas.
  • Achieve new-account and new-business revenue goals as defined in the Annual Business Plan.

Sales Execution & Account Management

  • Work with the Director of Marketing and Vice President, Business Development to actively produce and follow up on digital campaigns to assist in lead generation.
  • Prepare presentation and proposal materials tailored to prospect and customer needs.
  • Quote deals, locate and order vehicles, and follow workflows for underwriting and required documentation.
  • Effectively and consistently utilize company software systems and applications, including Aspire and Salesforce, to manage leads, prospects, and the sales cycle.
  • Actively contact existing active and dormant customers, servicing their needs for new business, quoting, and pricing, as well as continual development of those relationships.
  • Contact customers as defined in and following the United Leasing & Finance (ULF) Sales Customer Relationship Management Policy & Procedure.
  • Actively manage maturing lease/loan accounts, arranging disposition details and operational notifications to accounting and billing departments. Verify accuracy of maturity lists, ensure customers are thanked for their business, and pursue additional business opportunities.
  • Assist in the collection of existing past-due customer accounts, as required.
  • Closely monitor and report on competitor activity, marketplace conditions, and other developments that could impact the company.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Review meetings with key customers.

Credit Analysis

  • Obtain required credit and financial information from credit applicants and prepare a credit overview of each new sales opportunity.
  • Maintain working knowledge of financial statement interpretation, including balance sheets and profit/loss and income statements, as required to complete management approval documentation.

General

  • Ensure prompt and regular attendance.
  • Perform other appropriate duties as may be assigned by Management.
  • Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory as business needs require, including occasional overnight travel for trade shows, industry events, and other assigned activities.
  • Ensure involvement in Community Service initiatives to support the corporate philosophy of giving back.

  • Personally commit to quality in all aspects of work.
  • Provide “World Class Customer Service” for internal and external customers.
  • Participate in and promote the established Quality Improvement Process (QIP) for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree is minimally required.

Experience:

  • Sales, Marketing, or Finance employment experience is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in outbound, cold-call-driven, or hunter-style sales role is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in equipment leasing, commercial finance, fleet management, or automotive/transportation sales is preferred.
  • Existing professional network within the Evansville / Tri-State business community is preferred.

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies:

  • Prior financial experience.
  • Strong outbound prospecting skills, with the resilience and persistence to succeed in a high-volume cold-calling environment.
  • Confident, professional phone presence and strong consultative selling skills.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiating skills.
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work independently to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Prior working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, particularly Salesforce, is preferred.
  • Must possess and continuously maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record given regular territory travel.
