To thrive as a Fleer (a worker specializing in the preparation of animal skins or hides), you need knowledge of tanning processes, manual dexterity, and a basic understanding of chemistry, usually gained through apprenticeship or vocational training. Familiarity with tanning equipment, cutting tools, and safety procedures is essential in this role. As a fleer, you may encounter challenges such as handling repetitive tasks that require precision and attention to detail, especially when removing unwanted material from products. Working in a fast-paced production line can also demand strong time management and the ability to quickly adapt to changes in product specifications. Additionally, collaborating closely with other operators and quality control staff is crucial to ensure products meet required standards and deadlines.
