Job description

The expected pay range for a Cabinet Assembly Specialist in Hilo is $19.25 - $22.10 per hour.
HPM Building Supply is seeking to hire a full-time Cabinet Assembly Specialist at our Distribution Center in Hilo, Hawaii. The Cabinet Assembly Specialist is responsible for assembling high-quality kitchen cabinets, vanities, and specialty storage units that meet HPM's quality, safety, and customer expectations. This role transforms raw components and flat-pack materials into finished cabinetry through precise assembly, attention to detail, and adherence to shop drawings. The Cabinet Assembly Specialist supports HPM's commitment to craftsmanship, efficiency, and a great customer experience.
The typical schedule is Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience in a cabinet shop, furniture manufacturing, woodworking, or finish carpentry preferred but not required
  • Experience with CNC equipment or specialized assembly clamps is preferred
  • Solid understanding of wood grain, material types (plywood, MDF, solid wood, thermofoil), and hardware components is a plus
  • Knowledge of basic cabinet construction methods and wood assembly techniques
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure to the 1/16th of an inch
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
