Summary This is the first of two levels in the Labor series. Incumbents perform manual labor related to the maintenance of Parish roads, grounds and buildings. Responsibilities may include mowing; weed eating; trimming trees; picking up litter; sweeping; mopping; shoveling, raking and pouring asphalt; flagging traffic; driving a pickup truck; and completing routine maintenance on vehicles, buildings and equipment.

Responsibilities are performed under direct supervision and within well-defined practices and procedures. Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
