Job description

Position Summary
Mock Plumbing & Mechanical is seeking an experienced Plumbing Superintendent to lead commercial plumbing projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is committed to safety, quality, scheduling, and developing high-performing crews. This position requires strong field knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate all aspects of commercial plumbing installations.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise field crews while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
  • Manage project quality, scheduling, manpower, and productivity.
  • Review and understand construction drawings, specifications, and submittals.
  • Attend coordination and BIM meetings.
  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and vendors.
  • Plan material needs and maintain inventory to avoid project delays.
  • Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate field personnel.
  • Complete weekly payroll and required project documentation.
  • Verify material deliveries and inspect for accuracy and damage.
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule and meet company quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Commercial plumbing superintendent experience preferred.
  • 30-Hour OSHA Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Georgia Master Plumber License (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, codes, and construction practices.
  • Ability to read blueprints and coordinate installations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Required Field Experience
Candidates should have experience with:
  • Underground and above-ground DWV systems
  • Domestic water and pressure piping systems
  • PVC, CPVC, copper, steel, cast iron, and HDPE piping
  • Plumbing fixture installation
  • Water heaters, pumps, booster systems, storage tanks, and related equipment
  • Operation of hand and power tools
  • Equipment operation including forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, mini excavators, and backhoes (certifications as required)
