As a Security Officer - Flex Guard in Tucson, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a hotel and convention center environment.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, escalating issues through proper channels when needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout lobbies, corridors, meeting spaces, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe onsite activity, and document incidents, disturbances, and/or maintenance-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal standards and location expectations.
• Support hotel operations by providing directions, assisting with crowd flow during events, and communicating clearly with guests, staff, and first responders during routine and emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
