Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced leader to lead our Data Platforms team within the Individual Investors business. This role will define and execute the strategy for custom data platforms designed to strengthen service delivery and customer outcomes for over 1.3M retail clients with $200B in assets under management.

The ideal candidate will lead the development of scalable, high-performing data platforms that enable seamless data access, advanced analytics, and AI-driven capabilities. This leader will build strong consultative partnerships across business and technology teams to drive data integration, promote self-service access, and ensure high standards of data quality, governance, and reliability are met.

Responsibilities

  • Define and Execute Data Platform Strategy:Lead the vision, roadmap, and delivery of data platforms that support scalable operational and analytical use cases across the organization.
  • Enable Scalable Data Access and Integration:Design and implement data products, integration patterns, and a data marketplace thatsimplifyandstandardizedata access for internal and external users.
  • Build and Evolve Analytical Platforms:Develop andmaintainmodern analytics and reporting capabilities to support insights, measurement, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with senior business and technology leaders to understand data needs, align priorities, and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Ensure Data Quality, Governance, and Compliance:Establishand enforce standards, policies, and controls tomaintainhigh levelsof data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead and Develop High-Performing Teams:Manage and mentor a team of platform owners and engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate and Influence at All Levels:Translate complex technical concepts into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Drive Innovation and Emerging Capabilities:Evaluate and integratenew technologies, including AI/ML, to enhance platform capabilities and accelerate business outcomes.
  • Own Platform Performance and Outcomes:Ensure platforms meet performance, scalability, and reliability targets while delivering measurable business value.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 8+yearsof total relevant work experience

Preferred:

  • Proven experience leading data platform and/or analytics teams at scale.
  • Strong understanding of modern data architectures (data lakes, warehouses, APIs, streaming).
  • Experience overseeing builds of data products, data marketplaces, and/or self-service analytics platforms and ensuring deliverables meet functionality goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders and influence strategic decisions.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration in data platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business audiences.

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

$137,000.00 - $234,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$151,000.00 - $258,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$171,000.00 - $293,000.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual's relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
