About the Vanderbilt Office of Investments (OoI)
At OoI, our mission is to protect and grow Vanderbilt's endowment by achieving outstanding long-term investment returns. The endowment provides over $2.8 billion for student financial aid, programs, faculty, and operations. We partner globally to find superior investment opportunities.
Position Overview
We are seeking an investment analyst to join our public Investments team, a small and collaborative group managing Vanderbilt's $12 billion endowment. This is a three-year program dedicated to supporting our public markets portfolio, which includes global equities, hedged strategies, and fixed income.
Key Responsibilities
  • Research and analyze investment opportunities.
  • Prepare materials to support investment recommendations.
  • Participate in meetings with investment managers, ensuring key discussion points and meeting notes are accurately documented and maintained in the CRM.
  • Monitor and report on investment performance.
  • Assist in portfolio reviews and analysis.
  • Maintain information on investment managers and prospective investment opportunities within internal systems.
  • Stay updated on capital markets.
  • Lead ad hoc research projects as needed.

Qualifications
This position requires a bachelor's degree and a demonstrated interest in investments or finance, supported by an excellent academic record and strong work ethic. This is an entry-level role designed for candidates who are graduating from an undergraduate program or are early in their careers, typically with no more than one year of post-graduate professional experience. All majors are encouraged to apply.
