Job description

Business Analyst with Fixed Income, Order Management System, and SQL Job Requirements:
  • B.S. or higher in Computer Science (or related field)
  • 7+ years experience working as a Business Analyst for investment and compliance applications from a Buy Side perspective
  • Experience supporting trading floor
  • Prior experience with Buy-side Order Management and Compliance systems; experience with ION (Fidessa) LatentZero Suite (Minerva and Sentinel applications) and Eze RealTick a strong plus
  • Proficient in SQL
  • Strong analytical skills are required, including eliciting and documenting user requirements, vendor relationship management, application testing and configuration planning, and implementing product rollout
  • Knowledge of FIX protocol and electronic trading workflows with TradeWeb, MarketAxess and Bloomberg a strong plus
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income, Derivatives and Equities
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to take ownership of small to medium scale projects
  • Proven ability to multi-task and successfully execute complex application roll-outs
Responsibilities:
  • Primarily responsible for supporting Buy-side Fixed Income traders and compliance analysts
  • Work with traders, compliance analysts and other investment professionals in defining and documenting system requirements in order to improve processes and overall user experience
  • Partner with vendor and development teams in design and development of enhancements and new applications to automate workflows
  • Provide day-to-day user support to traders and compliance analysts user base globally
  • Work closely with the vendors in troubleshooting and resolving issues
  • Perform application functional testing, create test cases and conduct UAT
