Work you'll do/Responsibilities  

  • The PAY specialist leads reconciliation, coordination, and day-to-day support for income and accounting yield forecasting within the PAY application. The role organizes and analyzes income, expense, and distribution yield projections at the security and fund level; identifies and investigates data anomalies and forecast vs. actual differences; and supports resolution efforts to strengthen forecasting quality. The position also supports Section 19(a) forecasting/disclosure workflows, PAIR/NEST oversight, and Alternatives PAY activities in alignment with approved SOPs.
  • Perform the oversight and administration of a proprietary client Income and accounting yield forecasting tool ("PAY"), with a primary focus on client's book yield or gain/loss sensitive strategies
  • Assist the client Account Management, Portfolio Management, and Compliance teams by overseeing more than 1,000 separately managed accounts. Ensure all relevant data sources are consistently updated, whether on a predetermined schedule or as needed, to maintain accuracy and reliability across these accounts.
  • Conduct book yield, book value, gain and loss analysis at the security and fund level utilizing the PAY forecasting tool, to be used by front office, compliance, executive office or by a number of other stakeholders for key decision-making purposes
  • Support the Client Account Management team by preparing model accounts, ensuring they are optimized and positioned to showcase Client's strengths to prospective clients, ultimately advancing efforts to grow and expand the business.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data anomalies to enhance the accuracy and reliability of PAY data and ensure its integrity for key stakeholders
  • Lead Tech Project Logic & Vendor Integration: Drive the end-to-end design and implementation of a core data accuracy tech project, translating business requirement and collaborating directly with external data vendors to execute the build.
  • Oversee Quality Assurance & Testing: Design comprehensive testing frameworks and methodologies for new data workflows, conduct reviews of all testing results to ensure data integrity before deployment.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of FP&A, fund accounting, external audit, and/or consulting experience focused on investment management, fixed income financial assets, and/or income forecasting
  • Experience with financial services accounting (fund accounting, banking, etc.), especially financial asset income accounting, yield calculations, assessing accounting implications of complex assets/transactions, and consulting with the front office to enable decision-making is required
  • Proven experience leading technical or data focused projects
  • Strong knowledge of fixed income financial instrument accounting, especially income-related accounting
  • Experience with front office support/reporting, including forecasting for income/yield-oriented mutual funds with distribution targets
  • Exposure to other asset types such as equities, derivatives, and leverage products, and other securities
  • Hands-on experience with data management and tools used to validate analyses, build projection models, and provide relevant insight into data (Excel, Bloomberg, Macro writing, Database queries, etc.)
  • Experience providing exceptional internal customer service for demanding end users
  • Proven decision-making ability considering data risks and operational inefficiencies
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $110,000 to $130,000. 

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
