Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist with all work related to HVAC/Mechanical/Industrial projects
  • Measure and cut pipe according to requirements
  • Soldering, brazing, threading pipe, grooving pipe, installing hangers as well as carbon steel pipe (up to 24”)
  • Repairing malfunctions, breakages or leaks
  • Testing pipe systems to ensure safety and functionality
  • Communicate professionally with management, superintendent and customers
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures.
  • Observe, report and correct unsafe work environments
  • Collaborate with other workers to complete project
  • Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 2-3 Years of experience fitting pipe

• Must have personal hand tools required for the position

• Present yourself in a professional manner

• Ability to communicate clearly with Foreman and follow direction

• Ability to show up on time, ready to work and in uniform

• Must successfully pass a background check

• Must successfully pass a drug test

  • Ability to identify, install and repair mechanical pipe systems

• Ability to read blueprints

• Ability to recognize, set up and operate hand and power tools common to the trade as needed

• Knowledge of cutting and welding methods

• Ability to abide by basic safe work practices

  • Must successfully pass a background check & drug test.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing. Constant standing, walking, reaching and gripping. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (maximum solo lift) and constant lifting to 25 lbs., placing this position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC).
  • Material Handling:? lifting from floor level to overhead, with occasional lifting up to 115 lbs. frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. and constant lifting up to 25 lbs., placing the position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC).?

Work Environment: Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, high noise intensity level, atmospheric conditions, exposure to electrical shock, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, wet and/or humid, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working high exposure places.
