We're looking for an organized, energetic, and people-focused Group Fitness Coordinator to help create an exceptional group fitness experience for our members.
This role is ideal for someone who loves fitness, enjoys developing instructors, and knows how to build a class schedule that members actually want to attend.
As the Group Fitness Coordinator, you'll help oversee the day-to-day success of the group fitness program at your assigned club(s), including instructor recruitment, scheduling, class quality, coverage, and overall member engagement.
What You'll Do
Build & Manage the Group Fitness Schedule
  • Create and maintain a strong, balanced group fitness schedule.
  • Schedule classes based on member demand, attendance, peak club hours, and instructor availability.
  • Make seasonal schedule adjustments and recommend new classes or time slots when opportunities arise.
  • Ensure classes remain properly staffed and minimize cancellations.

Recruit & Develop Instructors
  • Help recruit, interview, audition, and onboard new group fitness instructors.
  • Build and maintain a reliable instructor bench to ensure appropriate class coverage.
  • Help new instructors understand expectations, systems, and club standards.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to instructors.

Own Class Coverage
  • Monitor instructor availability and coordinate substitutes when necessary.
  • Communicate schedule changes quickly and professionally.
  • Help prevent last-minute class cancellations whenever possible.

Drive Member Engagement
  • Create an energetic and welcoming group fitness environment.
  • Get to know what members enjoy and use feedback to improve the schedule.
  • Help promote classes, special events, launches, and new instructors.
  • Partner with club leadership to increase class participation and awareness.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in group fitness, fitness operations, fitness management, recreation, hospitality, or a similar people-focused environment preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Group Fitness Instructor, Lead Instructor, Fitness Coordinator, or similar leadership role strongly preferred.
  • Current nationally recognized Group Fitness certification preferred.
  • Current CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain certification within the required onboarding period.
