Friendsview Life Plan Community is seeking an energetic and compassionate Fitness amp; Wellness Coordinator to lead our resident fitness and wellness programs. This role is ideal for a fitness professional who enjoys teaching, coaching, building relationships, and creating meaningful programs that help older adults maintain independence, mobility, and quality of life.

What You'll be Doing:
  • Develop and lead engaging fitness classes and wellness programs for residents of varying abilities.
  • Conduct fitness assessments and create individualized exercise plans.
  • Provide orientation and training on fitness equipment and safe exercise practices.
  • Supervise contracted fitness instructors, volunteers, and interns.
  • Oversee fitness center operations, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance.
  • Collaborate with recreation, nursing, therapy, and resident committees to create inclusive wellness opportunities.
  • Promote wellness education, special events, and healthy aging initiatives throughout the community.
Required Qualifications
  • Certification through ACSM, ACE, NASM, AFAA, or equivalent.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Experience leading fitness programs and working with older adults.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health amp; Human Performance, or a related field.
  • Experience with group fitness instruction, wellness coaching, and program development.
  • Experience supervising staff, contractors, volunteers, or interns.
