Job description

Customer Service Associate

The Customer Service Associate will support the company's mission of providing outstanding service to our customers and drivers. This will be achieved by courteously receiving incoming calls from customers, entering orders, and working with other Fortune employees to satisfy customer needs. The Customer Service associate will communicate with both dispatch and drivers to ensure maximum customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent and courteous customer service by receiving calls and understanding customer requirements and needs. This will include correctly capturing customer requests in the company's ERP system - Sea soft.
  • Learn and maintain high levels of product knowledge to properly service customers.
  • Develop and maintain professional relations with customer to grow relationships.
  • Working as an advisor, inform customer of items not ordered or out of stock per regular ordering process. Offer appropriate alternatives that meet customer needs.
  • Ensure accuracy of customer information and ensure data entry into company ERP is correct.
  • Partner with Drivers and Outside Sales to ensure customer requirements are met in a timely fashion.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
  • Experience: Demonstrated phone-based customer service. Knowledge of seafood preferred but not required. Full training is available
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Work Ethic: Demonstrated desire to work in an exciting fast-paced environment.
  • Communications: Have highly developed English verbal communication skills.
  • Technical: High proficiency in using personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite, including high internet fluency. ERP experience a plus.
  • Any combination of the above criteria will also be considered.
