Job description

Lynch Consultants is seeking an IT Financial Systems Analyst to support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) in the National Capital Region on a Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR) effort focused on financial data automation, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled mission support.  

The selected candidate will support efforts related to IT system control documentation, ERP modernization and migration activities, FISCAM-aligned assessments, RMF sustainment, audit readiness, corrective action tracking, and financial systems compliance. The role requires collaboration with functional, technical, cybersecurity, and audit stakeholders to strengthen internal controls, improve system compliance, and support operational and financial decision-making.

Salary: $60,000 - $63,000/yr commensurate with experience.  


 

Work Location and Schedule:

  • This position requires an in-person presence 5-days/week at Wright-Patterson Airforce Base in Dayton, OH.


 

Required Qualifications – Must Have:
 

  • MUST have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Business, Accounting, or a related field.

  • MUST have 2+ years of relevant professional experience.

  • MUST have experience supporting one of the following: IT audit remediation, ERP modernization or migration, IT system implementation, IT system control documentation. 

  • MUST have experience with Cybersecurity compliance.

  • MUST have some FISCAM assessments experience.

  • MUST have RMF implementation and sustainment experience.

  • MUST have Internal control testing experience.

  • MUST have Financial systems compliance initiatives experience.

  • MUST have understanding of IT General Controls (ITGCs).

  • MUST have experience with ERP or federal financial systems environments. 

  • MUST have knowledge of OMB A-123, A-127, FMFIA, and FFMIA requirements. 

  • MUST be familiar with Oracle Federal Financials or similar ERP platforms.

  • MUST have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • MUST have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 


 

Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Prior Department of Defense (DoD) or Air Force experience.

  • Experience supporting AF FIAR initiatives.

  • Experience supporting audit readiness or financial statement audits. 

  • Familiarity with NIST cybersecurity guidance and controls.

  • Experience supporting system migrations or modernization initiatives.

  • Exposure to Cloud, ERP, or enterprise systems environments.

  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISA, CISSP, CGFM, CDFM, or similar certifications are a plus.


 

Skills & Job Duties:

  • Ability to develop technical documentation, process flows, and control narratives. 

  • Supporting IT audit remediation and corrective action activities. 

  • Assisting with IT General Controls (ITGC) documentation and testing. 

  • Supporting FISCAM and RMF implementation and sustainment efforts. 

  • Assisting with ERP modernization, migration, and system integration initiatives. 

  • Supporting audit walkthroughs, evidence requests, and system assessments. 

  • Documenting system processes, control activities, and cybersecurity controls. 

  • Coordinating with system owners, cybersecurity personnel, auditors, and functional teams. 

  • Supporting Oracle Federal Financials and other federal financial systems environments. 

  • Assisting with data analysis, risk identification, and compliance reporting.
