Job description

Responsible for organizing the production floor delegating work to responsible team member, ensuring the work area is clean and safe. Hands-on position that requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Help organize floor along side leads and supervisors to figure out what each area needs

  • Ensure work areas are kept clean and organized (taping and marking areas, labeling items, finding proper locations for new items and helping to train on latest improvements to team to ensure new standards are maintained)

  • Identify issues causing hiccups for the production floor (things being stored incorrectly or not returned to proper locations etc.)

  • Communicate effectively with production floor supervision and leadership to implement continuous improvement changes

  • Help maintain safety standards and implement new changes

Essential Mental Functions:

  • Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem solving abilities.

  • Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills.

  • Works effectively in a team environment.

  • Works effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.

Essential Physical Functions:

  • Lift up to 50lbs.

  • Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.

  • Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
