Job description

Our client is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable applications that support core business systems. This role is ideal for someone with strong programming fundamentals, a passion for clean architecture, and experience working in cloud-based environments. This is a hybrid position based in New York, NY.
Starting at $200,000/year.
Software Engineer's Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend and frontend components using modern programming languages, with Python as the preferred language
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs and services following best practices for performance and security
  • Work with message queue technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar systems to support asynchronous processing
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Deploy and support applications in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
Software Engineer's Qualifications and Skills
  • Solid programming experience, with strong proficiency in Python and exposure to both backend and frontend technologies
  • Hands-on experience with message queues and event-driven architectures
  • Strong understanding of RESTful architecture and service-based design
  • Experience working in at least one major cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
