Position Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Foreman (Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10,000) to join our team. The Electrical Foreman is a hands-on leadership role, working alongside electricians to oversee and coordinate electrical installations. This position ensures project quality, enforces safety protocols, and optimizes workflow while effectively managing field teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervises and works alongside crews to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
  • Plans and coordinates daily work activities, assigning tasks and providing clear instructions.
  • Ensures compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety guidelines.
  • Interprets blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to guide accurate electrical installations.
  • Collaborates with Project Managers and General Foremen to meet project deadlines and budgets.
  • Monitors project progress, ensuring quality workmanship and addressing issues promptly.
  • Mentors and develops electricians and apprentices to enhance technical skills and efficiency.
  • Manages inventory, tools, and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and availability.
  • Maintains project records, including daily reports and work progress logs.
  • Communicates effectively with other trades and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in the electrical construction industry, with leadership experience.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in industrial, water, wastewater, and hazardous environments.
  • Experience leading teams on mid- to large-scale projects.

OR an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience that results in the successful performance of the job. Additional education may substitute for required experience on a one-for-one year basis or vice versa.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of electrical systems, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of construction site operations and coordination.
  • Skill in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues efficiently.
  • Skill in reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical documents.
  • Ability to supervise, train, and mentor field crews effectively.
  • Ability to enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work conditions and project requirements.

Work Environment

  • Medium work environment. Indoor and outdoor work with exposure to uncomfortable and hazardous physical, ergonomic, and/or emotional environment. Work requires lifting up to 50 pounds and wearing protective equipment; exposure to environmental conditions, weather, climbing, crawling, lying, and working under pressure.
