Role: Apprentice Electrician


Job Summary:
Emtech is seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to assist with the installation,maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of industrial electrical systems, automationequipment, and robotics solutions. This position provides hands-on experience under theguidance of licensed electricians and experienced field personnel while supporting customerprojects across manufacturing, warehouse automation, and robotics environments.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed electricians with electrical installations and modifications.
  • Pull wire, install conduit, cable tray, and support electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Assist with installation of electrical panels, motors, sensors, and field devices.
  • Read and interpret basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment safely and properly.
  • Support startup, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
  • Participate in safety meetings and follow all company and customer safety procedures.
  • Assist with troubleshooting electrical and automation systems under supervision.
  • Travel to customer sites as required to support field projects.
  • Attend required apprenticeship training and maintain satisfactory progress towardcertification


Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Enrollment in, or willingness to enroll in, a state-approved electrical apprenticeshipprogram.
  • Basic understanding of electrical principles and construction practices.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work at heights for extended periods.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous construction, manufacturing, mechanical, or technical experience.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical equipment.
  • Exposure to industrial automation, robotics, or manufacturing environments.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
