Job Description
Our client, a premier line pipe distributor in the United States, is looking for a reliable Receiving Associate for their first shift. In this role, you will be crucial in managing the loading and shrink-wrapping of shipments. You will inspect materials for any defects, ensuring they are properly protected during transit. Key responsibilities include efficiently managing daily loading and wrapping tasks, delegating workloads, and upholding a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in unloading trucks, checking in, and validating merchandise before stocking.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards.
  • Keep the work environment clean and safe by organizing shelves, pallet areas, and workstations; sweep, dust, and mop as needed.
  • Perform systematic inventory stocking moves to maintain system accuracy.
  • Handle and move materials efficiently and safely, adhering to company procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of experience in shipping and receiving.
  • Experience operating sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, and reach trucks.
  • Prior experience in a pipe yard environment.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings, including background check and drug test.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. and operate equipment safely.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
