Why Join Us:

  • Structured 4-day work week: four 10-hour shifts, Monday-Thursday
  • Continuous training and development (over $15.9M invested in 2024)
  • Advancement opportunities across the NFI Group family of companies
  • Opportunity to learn cutting-edge EV and hybrid bus technologies
What You Will Do
  • Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and process documentation to assemble and install structural, electrical, and mechanical components.
  • Use a variety of hand, pneumatic, and power tools to complete assemblies to specification.
  • Execute precise installations and alignments using measurement tools (tape measure, calipers, gauges, torque tools).
  • Work collaboratively to meet daily performance and quality targets, ensuring first-time build accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot and escalate build issues or misalignments in real-time.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Participate in cross-training opportunities to expand skills and support production flexibility.
  • Commit to all safety practices including PPE, lockout/tagout, and hazard prevention protocols.
What You Need to be Successful
  • 1-3 years' experience in manufacturing, skilled trades, or mechanical/electrical/structural assembly. (Heavy-duty vehicle or complex equipment assembly is an asset.)
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and build sheets.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools, torquing, fitting, and alignment practices.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with the ability to work regular shifts and overtime as required.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in elevated or confined spaces with required PPE.
  • Valid CDL certification is an asset but not required.

Physical requirements:

  • Regularly lift up to 10 lbs., frequently up to 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and work at heights.
  • Exposure to vibration and moving mechanical parts is common.
Our Why

We move people. The world's most precious cargo.

We are driven by our purpose: we move people. Our vision is to lead the evolution of sustainable on-road mass transportation and mobility and our mission is to design, deliver, and support market-leading bus and motor coach solutions that are safe, accessible, efficient, and reliable.
