Job description

Skills

  • Must have ability to read tape measure, basic mathematic skills required.
  • Lift up to 75 pounds occasionally to frequently
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to stay focused and on-task at all times.

Loading Department Responsibilities

  • Attend pre-shift meetings and give feedback
  • Fill out crane logs daily.
  • Locate and retrieve glass on the manifest that is missing from A frames or Harp Carts.
  • Work with your loading crew to load glass on our truck by the manifest. (Last item loaded should be drivers first stop)
  • Safely load trucks via hand, team lifting, or our overhead cranes.
  • Properly and safely strap all glass to the trucks.
  • Scan glass pieces to the digital manifest for the truck.
  • Communicate issues with your supervisor IE (Need to walk off the line); and report any safety concerns or incidents.
  • Wear safety gear on the floor at all times (kevlar pullover, helmet, glasses, pants, etc.).
  • Operate and troubleshoot machinery in your department.
  • Keep area clean and organized; Know where your exits and fire extinguishers are in your department.
