Wieland is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented 1st Shift Material Handler. Candidates will assist with overall operations, including processing products, maintaining inventory, setting up machine stations, and packing outgoing material. This role is located in Texas City, TX and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule: 1st Shift (6:00 am - 3:00 pm)

Responsibilities

Material Handler Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:

    Create and maintain a safe organized working environment
  • Assist in reviewing outgoing shipping documents and package product
  • Assist in inspections of product orders for accuracy
  • Assist in loading/unloading packages from trucks
  • Report product discrepancies to management
  • Actively communicate with teammates
  • Operate forklifts to relocate material
  • Other Operations tasks as assigned

Material Handler Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Understanding of manufacturing industries preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail (critical skill)
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers and management
  • Ability to work as part of a team and offer assistance to teammates when necessary
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required by the position
