Job description

Seasonal Application Readers conduct admission application review during peak application review times. Under the supervision of the AVP of Enrollment Management, the Seasonal Reader is expected to commit to approximately 5-6 hours of work per week, including training, to review first-year applications from October to January. Work will be conducted remotely via a web-based reader platform.

Essential Functions:

The following list of duties is meant to be representative of the work performed in this position. The omission of a specific duty or responsibility will not preclude it from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical extension of position responsibilities.

  • Ability to review high school transcripts, standardized test scores, personal essays, recommendation letters and other application documents, and submit thorough and detailed evaluation notes.
  • Maintain a steady file review pace so as to achieve weekly file review targets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Previous college admission experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Well-developed computer skills
  • Must have a computer and access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection in a private, secure location
  • Experience handling confidential information with professionalism
