Position Overview

Flexibility First Physical Therapy is actively seeking a licensed and dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team in Germantown, Maryland. As a key member of our rehabilitation facility, you will play an integral role in restoring mobility, enhancing physical performance, and improving the quality of life for our patients. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative team and impact the health and well-being of our clients.

Located in the heart of Germantown, Flexibility First Physical Therapy is a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility specializing in sports medicine. Our 5000 square-foot clinic is designed to provide optimal care and recovery for individuals with various needs, primarily serving clients with private medical insurance. We foster a supportive environment where every team member is invested in the well-being of our patients.

Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Flexibility First, you will work onsite in a vibrant and innovative rehabilitation facility. Our team consists of two experienced physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), all committed to delivering high-quality care. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to recognize individual goals, needs, and functional deficits.
  • Maintain a productive patient caseload by assessing one individual per hour, ensuring focused and personalized care.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate diverse therapeutic modalities and techniques, optimizing patient outcomes.
  • Administer evidence-based interventions designed to enhance range of motion and mobility, with a focus on reducing reliance on medication and surgical procedures.
  • Design and implement personalized fitness and wellness programs that cater to each patient's specific rehabilitation goals.
  • Motivate and guide patients throughout their recovery journey, fostering their independence and functionality.
  • Engage in collaborative discussions with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and streamlined patient care.
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately and maintain effective communication with both patients and staff.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. We pride ourselves on individualizing care based on patient-specific needs and goals, promoting a comprehensive path toward rehabilitation and wellness.

Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Maryland, without any disciplinary actions on record.
  • Proficient in manual therapy techniques and exercise program design.
  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT or similar systems.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver effective patient-centered care based on current best practices in physical therapy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
