Tradeweb is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Capital Markets Associate to help support and build a Brokerage CD Underwriting Desk. This role will assist in providing funding solutions for banks through brokered Certificates of Deposits as an alternative funding channel. The individual must have a track record in the capital market space with a reputation for sound judgement and strong risk management skills. With the ability to communicate and build relationships, recognize new business opportunities, and help drive growth.
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end issuance process for Brokered CDs, ensuring proper documentation, settlement and regulatory compliance
  • Support the onboarding of issuing banks - obtaining necessary legal documentation and risk approvals
  • Work closely with the sales team to establish and maintain relationships with issuing banks
  • Monitor market conditions, funding trends, and competitive activity to provide actionable market insights to inform decision-making
  • Assist in maintaining accurate transaction records and reporting
  • Work with internal teams to help build and maintain CD New Issuance platform
  • Help drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years' experience in CD Underwriting and building relationships with issuing banks
  • Understanding of the full lifecycle of the Brokerage CD underwriting process
  • Established relationships with issuing banks
  • Series 7 & 63 required
  • Series 24 a plus
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Strategic thinking and crisis management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Visionary mindset to align with the company's long-term goals
  • Ability to work with internal sales teams and external issuing banks
