Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing various aspects of the MA-to-RN Pathway Program. This position will support the successful execution of the program and ensure alignment with Unity Health Care’s organizational goals.

The Program Coordinator will work closely with program participants, staff, leadership, educational institutions, community partners, and other stakeholders to coordinate program activities, monitor progress, support training and development, and ensure program milestones are achieved.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, student-centered, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement activities related to the MA-to-RN Pathway Program.
  • Oversee daily program operations and ensure program activities remain on schedule.
  • Coordinate schedules for program participants, staff, training activities, and other program-related events.
  • Monitor program milestones and ensure deliverables are completed within established timelines.
  • Develop and monitor the program budget in collaboration with management.
  • Ensure program activities remain within the approved budget.
  • Coordinate training, scheduling, and performance management activities for program staff, as appropriate.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, stakeholders, program participants, and external partners.
  • Monitor program outcomes and prepare monthly status reports.
  • Maintain confidential files and documentation related to program participants, staff, and program activities.
  • Represent Unity Health Care and serve as a liaison between Unity and Bedford Falls Foundation, Trinity University, and other program partners.
  • Support coordination and communication between Unity, educational partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in audits and provide required program documentation and reports.
  • Monitor program activities for compliance with applicable regulatory and program requirements.
  • Support student-centered activities and promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist with problem-solving and coordination of issues affecting program participants or program operations.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments and with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in community outreach, student events, clinical site visits, and other program activities as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and organized program records and documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment and Schedule

This position may require occasional evening or weekend hours to accommodate student events, training activities, or community outreach.

Some local travel may be required for clinical site visits, community outreach, meetings with program partners, or other program-related activities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of progressive professional experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably within a healthcare or nonprofit organization.
  • Experience working within a regulatory environment and with grant management.
  • Experience running reports and participating in audits.
  • Experience in academic program coordination, student services, nursing education, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with adult education or career pathway programs preferred.
