Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients with various pain conditions, utilizing interviews, physical examinations, and documentation through our electronic medical records system.
• Order and interpret necessary lab tests, imaging studies, and referrals to provide comprehensive diagnostic insights in conjunction with supervising physicians.
• Collaborate with attending staff to gather data assessing the effectiveness of treatments, ensuring quality care and improving patient outcomes.
• Communicate test results and treatment plan goals to patients, ensuring understanding and fostering a supportive atmosphere.
• Manage ongoing prescriptions for non-controlled pain medications while maintaining continuity of care and addressing patient concerns.
• Engage in patient education and support initiatives, focusing on chronic pain management techniques and lifestyle modifications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role involves direct interaction with a diverse patient population dealing with chronic pain issues. The patient demographic is varied, including individuals dealing with long-term pain management challenges following surgical procedures, injury recovery, or debilitating medical conditions. Our aim is to provide holistic and individualized treatment plans that promote healing and improve the quality of life for our patients.

Qualifications

• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited PA program.
• A minimum of 2-5 years of clinical experience, ideally within a pain management or surgical setting.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and other clinical procedures.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and general computer literacy, particularly in a Windows environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and empathetically.
• Capable of working independently as well as within a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in pain management, orthopedic, or surgical settings is strongly preferred.
• Clinical experience that demonstrates proficiency in assessment and management of chronic pain conditions.
• Ability to effectively manage a caseload and independently coordinate care for multiple patients.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this role includes an annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 140,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
