Job description

Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This position offers a night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, with 36 guaranteed hours per week.

This is a 13-week contract position.

The Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit will provide comprehensive nursing care for patients experiencing normal spontaneous labor, preterm labor, and various complications such as gestational hypertension and fetal distress. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring fetal well-being, responding to emergencies, and providing postpartum care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform fetal monitoring and assessments.
  • Utilize emergency response skills for urgent situations.
  • Deliver postpartum care to patients in a compassionate and efficient manner.
  • Manage time effectively in a fast-paced labor and delivery environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, specifically in Labor and Delivery.
  • Required certifications: ACLS or ALS-OB, NRP, EFM, and BLS.
