Job description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12.0

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises LPNs, NAs, and orientees while ensuring patient safety and adherence to nursing policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
  • Develop individualized plans of care based on nursing assessments in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
  • Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and ensure direct patient care.
  • Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
  • Communicate pertinent patient status changes to the care team to support continuity of care.
  • Provide direction and training to ancillary nursing personnel.
  • Maintain personal and environmental safety standards.
  • Contribute positively to the unit's function and team dynamics.
  • Assume charge responsibilities as required and engage in professional growth activities.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
  • ACLS Certification required prior to first shift.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred.
  • Charge nurse experience is required.
Schedule

This position operates on a night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week.
