Seeking Pediatrics - Neonatal - Perinatal Medicine Physician for a locum coverage in Marquette, MI

Job Quick Facts

 * Specialty: Pediatrics

 * Coverage Dates: June 4, 2018 to Ongoing

 * Reason for Need: Supplemental

 * Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call

 * Shift/Schedule:  14 days a month - 2 week stretches. 

 * Support Staff:

  • 3 NNPs, Nursing Clinical Director
  • 1 Unit Clerk during day
  • 1 Part time secretary
  • 32 RNs (includes transport RNs, send 1 1st Transport RN with advanced skills and 1 2nd RN to support, RT, 1paramedic and 1 EMT).

 * Facility Info:  Level lll NICU without surgical sub-specialties 

 * Typical Cases: Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Pulmonary Hypertension, Pneumothorax, Sepsis, Seizures, Stabilize surgical cases for transport out, VLBW, NAS

 * Procedures: Intubation, Chest tube placement, Placement of central lines, Paracentesis, Spinal taps, exchange transfusion, thermal cooling, ventilator management including oscillators and iNO.

 * Other facts: Work in unit to round and manage daily unit census, NNP takes first call at night while Neonatologist is called in with complex cases.
