Job description

This position will assist the EHS Manager with administration with facility safety programs with established Federal, State and Local requirements.
Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with documentation in conjunction with safety programs.
  • Assist with the monthly safety and ergonomic committee meetings.
  • Participate in incident investigations by gathering photos, witness statements and other documents as instructed.
  • Assist in facilitation of New Hire Orientation Alchemy training.
  • Perform data entry of workplace injuries in company's 3rd party vendor system.
  • File relevant documentation.
  • Prepare reports as instructed for use in tracking monthly training.
  • Perform research as instructed by supervisor to streamline existing processes.
  • Assess equipment per company standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience & Skills
  • Basic understanding of English. Spanish is a plus.
  • Must have strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Some customer service experience is a plus.

Education
  • 2-year college degree in workplace safety or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

Work Environment
  • Work is generally performed within a manufacturing environment subjected to temperatures of cold and warm along with wearing the proper PPE, with standard office equipment available along with plant manufacturing environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision to a computer screen.
