You will conduct routine patrols, observe access points and alarm activity, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured conditions, and potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-control issues or unauthorized entry attempts to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant details according to site procedures.
  • Maintain a professional presence while supporting a welcoming environment and helping to deter unauthorized activity through visible patrols and adherence to post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
