Job Description
The Electrical Engineering Firmware Intern will assist the Electrical Engineering department with design, implementation, and test of firmware as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
  • Work with Firmware Team in creating VHDL code
  • Work with Firmware Team in creating System Verilog test benches
  • Work with Firmware Team in performing test and integration

Job Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements/Demands
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • General office environment, no special physical demands required. Some lifting and/or moving up to 15 pounds required.
  • Salary Range: The base salary range for this position is $20-$25/hour. This range reflects the compensation Fibertek reasonably expects to offer for this role. Placement within the range will depend on factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's experience, education and training, key skills, and relevant market and business considerations.
