Job description

Fireside Hearth and Home (FHH) is looking to add Retail Sales Associates in Maple Grove, MN and Minnetonka, MN, Eagan, MN and Eden Prairie locations.

This position is accountable to meet or exceed Fireside Hearth & Home retail sales goals by selling hearth products, services, and accessories.  The position must provide best-in-class consumer buying experiences by engaging retail store guests, developing a whole-hearth solution to meet their needs, and driving the sale to completion.  
 
To ensure pay transparency, this role is listed with the total target compensation, which includes: base hourly rate and incentive. Please note the incentive component is not capped

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed sales goals utilizing dynamic sales skills within the retail sales process
  • Exceed customer expectations through all required steps of the remodel process by working closely with customers to understand project needs and timelines
  • Systematically manage all customer sales to project completion, including quotes, orders, previews, installations and start ups
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and be extremely diligent with follow up
  • Become a trusted and knowledgeable Hearth Expert through a comprehensive 3-month training program, providing in-depth understanding of the hearth industry, products and installation
  • Collect and process payments from customers and balance daily business
  • Answer incoming phone calls to the showroom
  • Provide basic showroom maintenance and merchandising of products
  • Complete Inventory management as well as receiving in/out product
  • Assist in training newer Retail Sales Reps
  • Other duties as assigned 
Qualifications
  • 3+ years successful sales experience
  • High School Diploma required or equivalent (Bachelor’s Degree in sales, business administration, marketing preferred)
  • Able to work evenings and weekends, with limited time off between Labor Day and New Years
  • Driven, energetic sales professional with strong commitment to customers
  • Ability to learn quickly and retain information
  • Strong sense of interior design (preferred)
  • Experience within the residential construction industry, building materials, appliance installation or retail is highly desired
  • Ability to lift 50lbs. with assistance
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
