Position Description
As an Insulator, job duties may include complying with customer specifications to insulate piping and equipment, install steam tracing and fireproofing and removal of previously mentioned actions with various materials, tooling and machinery.
  • To avoid or correct freezing, safety concern, temperature level, noise, fireproofing, condensation and/or overall look and appeal issues, insulating, installing, modifying and/or removing insulation, insulation piping, insulation equipment, duct work, or boilers will be necessary for each job.
  • Training to work in the fab shop, sew shop, steam tracing and fireproof to adhere to current processes and safety regulations will be needed.
  • Drive/Operate various motorized machinery (boom truck, snorkel lift, fork lift) safely through the plant, adhering to all plant traffic rules and signs.
  • Complying with all safety regulations and procedures applicable to a chemical plant environment is an absolute must.
  • Attending work regularly and timely as well as being flexible to work varied shifts and/or overtime as needed.
  • Safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Respirator or mask may need to be worn, as directed by Supervisor or as needed in certain conditions.
  • Supervisor will direct if any additional tasks are needed.

Position Requirements
Reading and writing proficiently, following directions both oral and written, communicate effectively, take notice of any and all warning labels and signs, work within confined spaces at times. Ability to climb and perform tasks at varied heights. Working safely in crane basket, hi-ranger, grove/snorkel lift, step ladders, extension ladders, and scaffolding will be required at times. For anyone operating a Partner Industrial vehicle or piece of motorized machinery, a current and valid Driver's License must be provided along with a road test to obtain a Partner Industrial Driving Certification.
