Job description

Mason / Chimney Laborer

Hansen & Sons Chimney & Fireplace is looking for a dependable, hardworking Mason / Chimney Laborer to join our team. This is a hands-on position working alongside experienced technicians and masons on chimney repairs, masonry projects, fireplace work, and related construction.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in a hard day’s work, shows up reliably, and wants to learn and develop valuable trade skills.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with chimney repairs, rebuilds, tuckpointing, and other masonry work
  • Mix mortar and prepare masonry materials
  • Carry and stage brick, block, mortar, tools, and equipment
  • Assist with demolition and removal of damaged masonry
  • Set up and take down ladders, scaffolding, and jobsite equipment
  • Help protect and prepare customers’ homes and properties before work begins
  • Keep jobsites, trucks, and equipment clean and organized
  • Work on roofs and at heights while following proper safety procedures
  • Learn masonry, chimney, fireplace, and venting skills from experienced team members
  • Provide professional and respectful service while working at customers’ homes

  • Dependable and punctual
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Comfortable performing physical work outdoors
  • Able to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment
  • Comfortable working on ladders, roofs, and scaffolding
  • Willing to learn and take direction
  • Able to work effectively as part of a crew
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Construction, masonry, roofing, or chimney experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person
