Location: Fort Lupton, CO

Compensation: $23.95/hour (based on site assignment)

Schedule: Day, Swing, Overnight Shifts Available; Part-Time or Full Time Available

About the Role

Precision Security Team is hiring professional, reliable, and highly motivated Armed Security Guards for multiple openings supporting our contract with a higher education campus. Armed Security Guards are responsible for protecting client personnel, property, assets, and information while maintaining a visible and professional security presence within campus facilities.


This role requires strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Successful candidates are comfortable working independently or as part of a team, adapting to dynamic environments, and responding effectively to security incidents while representing Precision Security Team with professionalism, integrity, and accountability.


Please Note: Precision Security Team provides security services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Schedule flexibility, dependable attendance, and punctuality are essential. PST maintains a zero-tolerance attendance policy. 


Core Responsibilities

· Protect and monitor assigned properties through patrols, surveillance systems, alarm monitoring, and direct observation while maintaining a visible security presence. 

· Conduct routine, random, and targeted patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and restricted locations to identify suspicious activity, safety hazards, security threats, and policy violations. 

· Respond to incidents and emergencies using sound judgment, critical thinking, and de-escalation techniques, coordinating with clients, supervisors, law enforcement, and emergency responders as necessary. 

· Manage access control by verifying identities, credentials, and authorization and granting or denying access in accordance with client policies and SOPs. 

· Document and communicate security activity through accurate incident reports, activity logs, and professional communication with clients, employees, visitors, supervisors, and emergency personnel. 

· Operate security technology and equipment including CCTV, alarm systems, reporting and scheduling platforms, smartphones, Microsoft Office applications, and other assigned systems. 

· Safely carry and maintain assigned firearms and equipment in accordance with company policy and applicable laws while maintaining required qualifications and training. 

· Protect confidential and proprietary information related to client operations, technology, security procedures, and business practices. 

· Perform additional duties as assigned by Precision Security Team or the client to support operational and site-specific needs.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Previous armed security experience preferred.

• Military, law enforcement, corrections, or related experience strongly encouraged.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle records (MVR) review, and drug screening.

• Must also pass the client's background investigation, which is required in addition to PST's standard screening as a condition of assignment to this contract.

• Possess a current, valid driver's license and maintain an insurable driving record, including:

• No major traffic violations within the past five years.

• No more than three minor traffic violations within the past three years.

• CPR certification preferred or willingness to complete company-provided training.

• Reliable personal transportation required. Public transportation and rideshare services are not permitted for firearm transportation.


Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, patrol, and remain alert for extended periods, often 8–12 hours per shift.

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.

• Ability to wear and operate a duty belt, exterior tactical vest, and other required equipment throughout assigned shifts.

• Ability to safely use, maintain, operate, and manipulate firearms, handcuffs, and other issued equipment.

• Ability to pass the company's basic defensive tactics skills course.
