Drive Fire Protection Excellence as Fire Sprinkler Project Manager โ€“ Lead, Influence, and Deliver

Are you a proven project leader who thrives on managing high-profile fire protection projects from concept through completion? Do you enjoy building trusted client relationships, driving operational excellence, and delivering solutions that protect people, facilities, and mission-critical infrastructure?

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Project Manager to join our Fire Protection Services Team in Birmingham, AL; Cullman, AL; or remotely. In this pivotal role, you will lead complex fire protection projects, oversee project performance, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients while helping shape the successful delivery of innovative fire and life safety solutions. This position is remote-flexible, with a strong preference for candidates located throughout the Southeastern U.S. to support our growing regional presence. The role includes occasional travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.

What You\'ll Do:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex fire protection projects, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with client expectations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships and navigating technical, financial, and logistical challenges throughout the project lifecycle
  • Direct project scope development, schedules, budgets, change orders, and resource planning while maintaining project quality and profitability
  • Manage project financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, cash flow, revenue tracking, and Estimates at Completion (EACs)
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and technical leaders to drive project success and achieve key milestones
  • Oversee contract administration, project documentation, client communications, and project reporting from kickoff through closeout
  • Develop and implement project-specific health, safety, and quality initiatives while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior project management staff and technical team members as projects grow in scale and complexity
What You Bring:
  • High school diploma required; Associate\'s or Bachelor\'s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 9 years of fire sprinkler experience required, including at least 6 years of project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, fire alarm installations, life safety requirements, and construction project delivery
  • Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Revit, etc.) required
  • Demonstrated success managing client relationships, project financials, schedules, contracts, and project risks
  • Experience preparing change orders, project plans, work authorizations, and project closeout documentation
  • Strong understanding of NFPA code requirements, OSHA standards, and fire/life safety regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence project outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and management software required; knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred
  • NICET certification preferred; project management certification is a plus
  • Valid driverโ€™s license required with the ability to travel as needed

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $125,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
