Job description

CHICAGOLAND SPEEDWAY

Chicagoland Speedway is a 1.5-mile oval located in Joliet, Ill., approximately 30 miles south of downtown Chicago on Old Historic Route 66. On July 3-5, 2026, NASCAR will make its much-anticipated return to Chicagoland Speedway for three days of racing action.

The Fire Rescue workers provide immediate response to any emergency situation encountered at Chicagoland Speedway and Route 66 Raceway.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responding to emergency situations at events.
  • Fire suppression.
  • Accident / incident stabilization.
  • Patient assessment and/or patient care.
  • Track cleanup and insuring the track is reopened as quickly and safely as possible.

Required skills/experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, experience as a firefighter, or other related field.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Ability to work independently in a faced paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends and work in all types of weather.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the track location.
  • Adhere to our Substance Abuse Policy.

The compensation range for this position is:

$16.00 - $18.00
