What is a fire marshal?

A Fire Marshal is a public safety official responsible for enforcing fire codes, investigating the causes of fires, and promoting fire prevention in their community. They conduct inspections of buildings to ensure compliance with safety regulations, issue permits, and provide guidance on fire safety practices. Their duties may also include investigating arson and coordinating emergency response during fire-related incidents.

What do fire marshals do?

Fire marshals enforce fire code, spread awareness to prevent fires, and investigate the cause of fires. They assess environments and structures for fire hazards and propose changes to improve and prevent fires from occurring.
