Job Description
  • Provide technical and architectural subject matter expertise to the various development teams including communicating architectural decisions and mentoring other technical staff around the various development technologies and decisions
  • Meeting with the Treasury Department's CTO to advise on implementation issues, design considerations, and pricing options for SharePoint alternatives
  • Researching an appropriate workflow product for the client's business needs that will integrate with another product
  • Analyzing a path for searching content on a Drupal site with the developer
  • Assisting developers with troubleshooting PostgreSQL versioning error messages
  • Reviewing the cloud architecture plan with the Cloud Architect
  • Assisting with the installation of a system into an air-gapped network
  • Fixing a fire caused by another team's patching update, and instructing the Project Manager on the best long-term care plan in coordination with that other team while leading by example to maintain optimism, camaraderie and mission-focus
  • Supervising the team responsible for transitioning to DevOps
  • Supervising the team responsible for transitioning to the Cloud
  • Working collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure understanding and buy-in of the path for end-to-end success
  • Provide advice, guidance, and mentorship to the delivery teams
  • Interviewing new corporate candidates

Qualifications
  • Aggressively current interest in development technologies, standards, and trends and an ability to formulate recommendations for enhancements and modernization tactics and strategies within an Agile environment
  • Active SECRET clearance
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering, Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Management Science, or related disciplines
  • Experience working as an influencer and educator with C-level executives or SES stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Thorough understanding in Enterprise Architecture (The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)
  • 10+ years in architecture ecosystem design (5+ years with integration components)
  • Implementation experience of cloud data platform technologies (Amazon Web Services)
  • Linux expertise
  • PowerShell scripting
  • DBA expertise
  • Some Windows knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Node.js and JavaScript

It would be great if you have:
  • Certification or Higher Education classes in Enterprise Architecture
  • A master's degree -- or are working on one; relevant certifications; interesting side-projects or formal recognition for previous work
  • Experience in the architecture design and implementation of medium-to-large distributed cloud computing environments
