An entry level fire arson investigator assists in determining the cause and origin of fires, especially those suspected to be set intentionally. They collect evidence at fire scenes, interview witnesses, and work closely with law enforcement and fire departments. Their duties often include documenting findings, preparing reports, and testifying in court if needed. Entry level investigators typically work under the supervision of experienced professionals while gaining hands-on experience and further training.
