Position Summary:
Fire Designer I: Responsible for designing basic building systems, preparing technical documents and performing engineering calculations in coordination with project teams.
Fire Designer/Engineer II: Responsible for designing intermediate building systems, preparing design documents and performing engineering calculations in coordination with project teams. They are responsible for occasional task management and mentoring of less experienced designers.
Fire Designer/Engineer III: Responsible for designing basic to advanced building systems, preparing design documents and performing engineering calculations in coordination with project teams and other disciplines. They may support project management activities and are responsible for task management and mentoring of less experienced designers, which may include directly supervising/managing others.

Key Responsibilities (Fire Designer I):
- Performs calculations and designs basic engineering systems in collaboration with experienced design staff.
- Prepares system layouts, detailed drawings and schematics.
- Reviews shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
- Prepares or modifies reports, plans and designs for projects.
- Acts as a mentor to less experienced designers.
- Supports business development or pursuit activities.
- Participates in client, company and/or industry events to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Fosters a client-centric mindset and approach.

- Supports answering questions from clients and architects.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels in a clear and concise manner.
