We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to support our Merchant Services accounting operations.

This role is hands-on and data-heavy, focused on ensuring accurate financial reporting, daily transaction validation, and timely reconciliations across multiple payment streams. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to keep everything balanced, clean, and on track.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support daily, weekly, and monthly accounting operations across payment processing activities
  • Review merchant reports to accurately record income, expenses, and transaction activity
  • Validate settlement files across multiple processing platforms
  • Prepare and submit general ledger and bank account entries with proper documentation
  • Perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts and bank (DDA) accounts
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes and reporting deadlines
  • Identify discrepancies, variances, or abnormal trends in settlement or billing data
  • Investigate and resolve issues at the merchant or portfolio level
  • Maintain organized documentation and ensure compliance with internal controls

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of accounting or finance experience
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and high-volume transactions
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Experience in payments, fintech, or high-volume transaction environments is a plus

SALARY:

This role includes biannual profit-sharing bonuses as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, retirement planning, and other benefits.

  • Salary range: $55,000 - $65,000
  • Salary including biannual profit-sharing bonus and comprehensive benefits program range (annualized): $73,725 - $85,725

LOCATION: This role requires the employee to work fully onsite at our Anaheim Hills location.
