RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Information

The Lead Cloud Systems Engineer (Microsoft 365, AWS, Collaboration Tools) is a strategic technical leader responsible for architecting, managing, and optimizing enterprise collaboration platform across Microsoft 365, AWS, integrated third-party applications, and providing audio/visual technology solutions. This role ensures secure, scalable, and compliant communication and productivity solutions for the organization, while driving innovation within the collaboration space and end-user enablement. The position partners with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless collaboration experiences, enforce policy controls, and support enterprise-wide initiatives including audits, patching, and software lifecycle management. This is an important role for our business and presents an opportunity to implement and optimize the latest hardware and software solutions. 

Must be able to travel into the headquartered Bethesda, MD office on an as needed basis. The preferred candidate is local to the DC, Maryland, Virgina area. 

Key Job Functions

  • Lead administration and lifecycle management of Microsoft 365 suite (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, etc.).
  • Architect and implement Microsoft Teams Room A/V solutions for hybrid collaboration and executive townhalls.
  • Manage integration of third-party collaboration tools into the M365 and AWS ecosystems.
  • Manage integration of AI tools withing the collaboration space of M365 and AWS ecosystems to include Microsoft Copilot, Security Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.
  • Design and enforce Conditional Access policies.
  • Manage Active Directory Groups and role-based access controls across platforms.
  • Support AWS-hosted collaboration tools and services for users.
  • Oversee & Support email system architecture, routing, and hygiene across hybrid environments.
  • Oversee & Support Microsoft Teams architecture.
  • Lead collaboration-related audit responses and documentation for NIST, FHFA, Internal Audits, and InfoSec reviews.
  • Manage M365 software lifecycle, including feature rollouts, license optimization, and change management.
  • Maintain and enhance DLP policies, Purview governance, Conditional Access, Security Control, and Identity management.
  • Maintain and enhance Intune Management, Intune MDM, Intune MAM, Compliance policies, configuration profiles, app deployment, security baselines.
  • Benchmark and evaluate emerging collaboration technologies for continuous improvement.
  • Supporting Windows Servers and Windows Desktops with increasing responsibilities administering client/server applications.
  • Perform system monitoring verifying the integrity and availability of all server hardware and software, reviewing system and application logs.
  • Implement and support infrastructure solutions such as collaboration tools - EFAX, B2B Integrations, Federation Services, Teams Rooms, Crestron Devices, UC Engines, Conference Room Cameras/Multi-Display Setups.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2, RDS, S3, VPC. Supporting OS Windows & Linux servers.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education   

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum Experience  

  • Minimum 7+ years of related experience.
  • Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and collaboration technologies.
  • Minimum 3+ years in a lead or senior technical role managing enterprise-scale deployments.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing Conditional Access Policies, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Intune Management, Workstation Deployments, Active Directory Management, Teams Room Systems.
  • Experience supporting audits and compliance initiatives (e.g. NIST, Microsoft 365 Security Baselines, Windows Security Baselines - Laptops & Servers).
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring employer sponsorship currently or in the future. U.S. FinTech does not offer H-1B sponsorship for this position.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills     

  • Proven leadership in managing enterprise collaboration platforms and cross-functional technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture, administration, and integration.
  • Experience with AWS tools and cloud native productivity solutions.
  • Experience in Microsoft Graph API, Powershell/Python automation scripting, Intune policy management.
  • Experience in managing Intune for laptops, MDM Solution, MAM Solutions.
  • Strong communication and training skills for helpdesk enablement and executive engagement.
  • Experience with patch & vulnerability management.
  • Working knowledge of Office365 and its related online products (e.g. SharePoint & Exchange Online, MS Teams).
  • Hands on experience with building and maintaining environments within AWS ecosystem (including EC2, VPC, RDS, ELB, EBS, S3).
  • Experience with managing and administrating SCCM, Intune, SharePoint and Exchange.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) & Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and its supporting OS Windows, Linux servers, Containers, Serverless, etc.: Design, Configuration, and Administration of Windows.
  • Maintain and support the current patch management strategy.
  • Ability to troubleshoot configuration problems or system issues.
  • Proficiency with Enterprise level administration of common network services such as GPO, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP and troubleshooting as well as Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
  • Working knowledge of SQL.
  • Working knowledge of supporting common services (DNS, MDT, OSD, TCP/IP, DHCP, storage, clustering).
  • Ability to work independently with some guidance from supervisor/manager.
  • Must be self-motivated with strong communication skills.

Pay Range $156,500 to $181,000

U.S. FinTech's pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law. U.S. FinTech offers a competitive total compensation package, which includes a performance bonus, 401k match, healthcare coverage, PTO, and a broad range of other benefits.
