Job description

About The Company
This is a high-growth, venture-backed company building an AI-driven platform focused on modernizing finance and back-office operations. The product helps organizations automate core workflows across billing, payments, reporting, and financial processes, enabling teams to reduce manual work and improve operational visibility.
The company is early-stage, well-funded, and based in New York, with a strong technical and domain-focused founding team.
About The Role
The company is hiring a Head of Implementation to build and scale its customer delivery function. This is a player-coach role where you will lead the implementation strategy while staying close to complex, high-impact customer deployments.
You will define how the platform is delivered, partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Operations, and build the systems, processes, and team needed to support rapid growth.
What You’ll Do
Own the Implementation Function
  • Build and scale the implementation team, including hiring, onboarding, and development
  • Define team structure, roles, and performance expectations
  • Establish delivery standards and best practices
Lead Strategic Implementations
  • Stay hands-on with complex or high-priority customer implementations
  • Oversee end-to-end onboarding, including process mapping, system configuration, and integrations
  • Ensure successful and efficient go-lives for key accounts
Build Scalable Processes
  • Design and implement repeatable playbooks and workflows
  • Improve internal tooling, data visibility, and operational efficiency
  • Drive consistency across implementations as the company scales
Act as a Functional Expert
  • Translate business and operational requirements for customers
  • Ensure alignment between platform capabilities and client workflows
Partner Cross-Functionally
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to surface insights from implementations
  • Influence product direction based on customer needs and delivery experience
Drive Performance and Accountability
  • Track delivery metrics and team performance
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve speed and quality
  • Ensure a high standard of customer experience
What They’re Looking For
  • 6–10+ years of experience in implementation, onboarding, or professional services within SaaS or fintech
  • Experience leading and scaling an implementation or delivery team
  • Strong understanding of business process workflows, systems, and integrations
  • Experience working with ERP or financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks)
  • Proven ability to manage complex customer implementations end-to-end
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Background in finance, accounting, or business systems is a plus
  • Based in NYC and comfortable with an in-office environment
Why This Role
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical function at an early-stage company operating at the intersection of AI and business operations. You’ll have a direct impact on how the product is delivered, how the team is built, and how the company scales its customer base.
