Who You'll Join
A team of 9 engineers building a regulated brokerage platform democratizing access to institutional-grade strategies. They're about to close what is poised to be the biggest non-AI pure Series A in the last 12 months. Backed by a16z & Sequoia, you'll work with veterans from Goldman Sachs, Robinhood & Affirm & technical leaders from Harvard & MIT. Leadership (including CEO & VP Eng) code daily in an ownership-first culture.
What You'll Drive
You'll design and scale cloud-native systems for a high-performance platform handling millions of API calls, powering a regulated brokerage platform where investors and experts seamlessly share/execute strategies. You'll lead architecture, ensure reliability at scale, and maintain compliance while supporting rapid growth post-Series A.
What You'll Focus On
  • Build & optimize backend services & APIs using Python, C# on AWS (EKS, DynamoDB, Postgres, Kafka).
  • Scale infrastructure for millions of transactions with low latency & high availability.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of key components, ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities while balancing short-term needs & long-term scalability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver features & scale post-Series A.

Who You Are
  • 3+ years building backend microservices in Python or C# at high-growth startups.
  • Proven success scaling AWS infrastructure (EKS, Lambda, Kubernetes), event-driven systems (Kafka, SNS & SQS), and databases (Postgres & DynamoDB).
  • Strong knowledge of REST & gRPC best practices for performance and reliability.
  • Take initiative, ship code quickly, and thrive in a high-trust, flat culture.
  • Experience working on rapidly scaling systems/teams through growth phases (Seed โ†’ Series A โ†’ Series B).
  • Python-focused but adaptable, quickly mastering new tools & technologies.
  • Degree from a top CS school or prestigious programs like Neo or VC Fellows.
  • Experience or interest in FinTech/Financial Services and AI tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude.
